Starting a new winning streak!

It was a hot and muggy night and the scoring was a back and forth affair over the first few innings. The defence played tight and AL/Mike pitched well to hold down the Greenthumb bats. Bob broke it open in the 6th with a 3 run mammoth bomb to right field, leaving him with a 4/4 night and 5 RBI's. Joey went 3/3 with 3 RBI's, Brad went 3/3, and James had a bases clearing triple. The offense managed to score runs every inning of the game and was consistent once again top to bottom. Final score 18-13 and Storm now owns a 5-1 record.

Welcome to the team Brian!

Coming off a loss Storm looked to battle back and win the second game of their doubleheader. Xtreme came out swinging early, hitting two homeruns in the 2nd inning for a 7 run frame. It was a back and forth close game, tied up at 12 runs after five. Storm broke it open in the 6th scoring 12 runs. The highlight of the inning was Xtremes choice to walk Bob to load the bases and face Storm rookie Brian. Brian took a belt high pitch and hit a laser over the right field wall for a grand slam. The entire team hit well, with everyone scoring at least one run. Defence was tight and Al pitched very well. After 5 games Storm is now 4-1 and look to keep the momentum going with their next game Tuesday.

First loss of the year :(

It was a back and forth game and it just wasn't our night to come out on top. The defence was just a little off and the bats were finding all the other teams gloves. Duran hit two solo homeruns while the other team made theirs count with 3 run bombs. Highlights for the Storm include Joeys triple play, and Bob and Brian going 4/4. The team solemnly boarded the bus after the game to head for their road trip to face Xtreme.

Make it 3 in a row!

Everything was clicking tonight. The defence was strong and Mike pitched a great game. It was tight early on as Mayhem made it a close game but in the 4th inning Storm poured it on scoring an 11 run inning. The offense was led by Joey with 2 Hr's and 8 RBI's, a long HR by Bob, and Duran going 6/6. Top to bottom the team hit well and look to keep it rolling Sunday for their doubleheader. Final score 27-10.

Solid win puts Storm 2-0

Once again the bats top to bottom put up runs. Joey went 3/3 with two homeruns and 6 RBI's and Al hit a bomb of his own. Jeff and Bob also went 3/3 with 5 runs scored between them. The defence was a little shaky at times in the outfield but it was more than enough to hold on to the lead. 17-10 was the final score after another solid offensive inning in the 6th had to be reverted (Sorry James).

Storm is undefeated!!!

The first game of the season is in the books. After five innings the score was locked up at 7-7. Storm managed to get 8 runs in the next two innings to win the game 15-9. Tight defence in the late innings highlighted by Al's double play kept Greenthumb from mounting a comeback. The offense was led by Joey's homerun and Brad going 4/4. Top to bottom the team hit well and the defence looked to be in midseason form.

No Lights = No Game

Game one cancelled due to lack of Light. For whatever reason the town of Whitby never turned the power on to the lights. Therefore we were unable to play past two innings.
