Hanet started strong by scoring two in the
top of the first, but Storm responded with two of their own. Defense was tight
on both sides, and the 2nd inning was scoreless. Storm was able to add two more
in the 3rd Hanet got one back in the top of the 4th, but
it was a seven run 4th inning that put the game out of reach. Hanet got one
back in the 5th and 6th, but Storm held on for a 12-5
victory.
There was some excellent defense for the
Storm. Dave made a great catch on a line drive with two runners on, ending an
inning, and made a great scoop on a low throw to end another inning. Lance made
a number of key plays at 3rd base, and Bob made some nice catches in
the outfield.
Offensively, the whole team was contributing.
10 different players scored a run or got an RBI.
It seems the team is eager to get the
season over with, as this is the 2nd consecutive game that was
played in just over an hour. Another interesting note: the team now has as many
wins as Duran has years on the planet.
