Storm stops leak, wins game

Storm started strong offensively putting up 6 runs in the top of the 1st inning; however, that lead would soon disappear as Storm apparently forgot how to play defense. Fly balls dropped in when there were outfielders directly underneath; ground balls squeaked through when there where players totally squared up; throws went slightly errant. Depending on how harsh or generous the official scorer of the game was, there could have been 8 errors recorded in the first inning by Storm. This led to a 9 run inning for Broadway and Storm’s early lead disappeared quickly.
From the second inning on, however, Storm remembered how to play defense, and Broadway would not score another run until the bottom of the 6th inning. Meanwhile, Storm remembered how to hit, and chipped away at Broadway, scoring multiple runs in every inning but the 3rd.
Duran hit his 10th triple of the season ending his triples drought, and pulling him to within two of Joey’s 12 triple season record. There are three games left for Duran to try to tie or break the record.
