Xtremely big over the Storm
It was a tightly contested match for the first three innings. Defense ruled the day, and Storm took a 6-5 lead into the 4th inning. Xtreme put up a strong 4th and Storm was unable to answer, then in the bottom of the 6th, the floodgates opened and Xtreme put up 14 runs. Storm tried to make the score look respectable with 6 in the 7th, but it was far too little, far too late

Storm norrowly over Hanet
It was a fantastic game between Storm and Hanet yesterday. Hanet went up in the first and Storm, not only batted through the order, not only had ever player record a hit, but every player scored a run in the 2nd. Hanet would not give up and scored 6 more in their half of the inning keeping it tight at 15-11. The second half of the game saw fewer bad bounces and more excellent defense. Mike made two great grabs in left, and James took a page out of Greg’s book for a catch and roll. Joey and Brad also turned a nice double-play up the middle.
The score was tied going into the final inning, and Al blasted a three run shot to give himself a lead, and then he pitched a beauty of an inning in the bottom of the frame, and Storm held on to win 24-21.

Storm winds blow balls by Devils
Storm started strong against the Devils scoring 16 runs in the first inning. The wind was playing havoc with the outfielders and the balls found their way into empty spaces. Things settled down a little after that, but the Devils were still having a devil of a time fielding balls and graciously gave Storm many extra base-runners. Storm’s defense and pitching were solid, and the first inning lead was definitely safe, as Storm surrendered only two runs.
Side note: Chris's new look, thanks to the strong wind !!!

Storm defeats Direct
The game started slowly as both teams were shut out in the first inning. However, with two outs in the 2nd, Kenny commented that Jeff was throwing a perfect game, after which the floodgates absolutely opened. The baseball gods should not be messed with. Direct went on to score 6 runs with two outs.
Storm responded in the bottom of the 2nd with 7 runs to take the lead, but Direct’s bats really heated up in the top of the 3rd with 8 more runs. Storm tried to even it out, but was stopped at 6 runs.
A pitching change cooled down the Direct bats a little, and Direct only managed one run in the next three innings. Storm used this time to tie up the game in the bottom of the 4th. Direct managed to blank Storm in the 5th, but Storm exploded for 10 in the bottom of the sixth. They were able to hold on to the victory in the top of the 7th.
There were some great defensive highlights, including two leaping catches by Bob, and Chris throwing out a runner at 2nd base.
Offensively James and Chris are heating up as each put up 4 hits. James also pounded out a home run. Al also hit a home run and drove in four while pitching 4 solid innings.
Storm showed a lot of fortitude and stayed with the game even after falling behind a couple of times.
Next up: Devils.

Storm return to Form
Storm was back in form on Wednesday night against Greenthumb. After a rough first inning Storm took the lead in top of the 2nd. Then, some excellent defense helped squelch a Greenthumb attack as Kenny threw out a runner at second from the fence, and then Joey relayed the throw home for a second out. Just your traditional 9-6-2 doubleplay!
In the top of the 3rd the bats absolutely exploded for a ten run inning, and Mike and Al and the Storm defense closed the door on any Greenthumb offense. The Storm offense kept the pressure on in the 4th with 7 more runs, and then a final 6 run inning put the nail in the coffin. Greenthumb seemed to have given up, as they went down one two three in the bottom of the inning.
Great game Storm!

It’s Not 2015 Again
On this night, though, the A’s outplayed Storm in every aspect of the game. They out-pitched, out-hit, and out-fielded the Storm, and came away with a much deserved victory.

Storm Rallies over Bradley
It was a very tight game with Bradley. After the first four innings, the game was tied 5-5. Storm took the lead in the 5th, and absolutely exploded in the sixth to take the lead and not look back.
The highlight of the game was definitely Duran’s cycle.

Storm storms past Coulas
The combination of good hitting plus some generous defense
helped Storm get past Coulas on Wednesday night. Storm got up early. In the
fourth, Coulas put up a big inning and tried to get back in the game, but Storm
kept the pressure on and held on to the victory.
