Storm storms past Bollocks

Storm started strong and finished strong against Bollocks. Storm stormed through the first inning with   hits to start the game and an 11 run first. Things slowed down a little in the second, with a two run second, but the floodgates opened with a thirteen run third. A six-run fourth capped off a solid game, and Bollocks decided to call it quits after their at-bats in the 5^th.

2^nd inning power surge surges Storm past Surge

Storm started slowly with a two-run first, but they exploded in the 2^nd. A missed throw with two outs opened the door and Storm put six runs in after the error. The nine-run inning put them up by more than they would need. Storm held on to win 15-3. Storm played solid defense,  and had great pitching to keep Surge’s offense down.

Double victory in doubleheader

In a rare true double-header, Storm faced off against Bollocks. The storms held off so Storm could rain down runs on Bollocks.

Game 1 -  It was fairly close through two innings. Storm led 6-0 going into the 3^rd. Then the skies opened up and the runs started to pour in. They scored 8 in the 3^rd and 14 in the 4^th. In the midst of that 14 run 4^th inning, Duran did his best Joey impression, and launched a 3 run home run almost to the tennis courts. After their at-bat in the 5^th, Bollocks decided to call it a game and head directly to game 2.

Game 2 - It started poorly for Bollocks, in the first inning, their outfielders didn’t even move for balls that were hit in their direction and decided to chirp Storm runners who kept running when they decided not to run after the balls.  Storm scored 10 in the first. By the 2^nd inning Storm was already going station to station – except for Joey. In the 3^rd inning, up 14-0, Joey clobbered a three-run home run. He was apparently upset that Duran was stealing his thunder.

Bollocks finally got their bats going in the 3^rd inning. They hit two home runs to bring the score 17-3, but they only managed two more in the 4^th and called the game at 23-5 after four innings.

After sitting in the circle for a while, Duran mentioned that Bollocks actually had pretty good wings, so members of Storm decided to head over. When they arrived, the manager informed them that they could not serve Storm players food. Allegedly the kitchen was closed, but it’s also possible that news of the thrashing Storm had given their sponsee had reached them and they refused service on that principle. Storm players were still hungry, so they headed over to Boston Pizza for beer, wings, and unicorn lemonade!

Monday Night is now a doubleheader against Bollocks

We now are playing two games 8pm & 9:30pm against Bollocks (Formerly Greenthumb) on Monday August 6th. The 9:30pm game was rescheduled from the original make-up date which was Friday August 10th.

So Now we are only playiong at 8pm on Friday August 10th against The Brew Crew.

Friday August 11th now a Doubleheader

Our latest rained out game has now been rescheduled. It will be game one of a doubleheader on  Friday August 10th at 8pm on K1. Game two, the 9:30pm game will be against Greenthumb (which has changed it's name to Bullocks).
