Storm win both games of the doubleheader

The defense was stellar against the A's and the offence came through again with another 26 hit performance. The Storm's record improves to 5 and 2 with 103 runs for and only 62 against. Joey keeps improving on his league leading HR total now at 6 and the team has an impressive 16 home runs.

Storm Demolished by A's

A very shorthanded Storm team was beat soundly by the A's. The 20 - 10 loss was a misleading final due to the excellent sportsmanship shown by the A's. We played with 8 guys as it turned out, 6 people had signed out and one didn't make it. A speacial thanks goes out to Mike Tyl who came back from the cottage to play the game. Gary played 2nd for most of the game and was sure tested each inning, we gave him a break in the 6th and 7th by moving him to third. Joey rescued me in the outfield to start the 4th inning as I couldn't make many plays last night, as there seemed to be to much real estate for three guys to cover.

A 15 Award night sank the Storm

It sure wasn't pretty, and in the end The Storm lost 19 to 12. It was ugly!

Storm power past the Attractions

With the help of 5 doubles, 4 triples (three by Bob) and a Home Run that Al almost put in the tennis court. The Storm used two big innings to power past the Attractions 20 to 5. The Storm managed to keep the Attractions off the scorecard for six of the seven innings with steller defense. Well not really stellar as all four Storm awards where handed out, however enough plays were made to keep the Attractions to only five runs. Next up is an important game against the Devils whoever wins will take the Presidents Division title and 1st overall in the league standings.

Storm doubles up Attractions 18 - 9

The Storm with the help of 10 doubles beat the Attractions in a time shortened game. The Attractions starting pitcher George stymied the Storm batters for the first 3 innings, then the bats came alive with 3 runs in the fourth, 6 in the fifth, and then 9 in the sixth which turned out to be the difference.
