Storm sails through season

It was an impressive season. Storm found many ways to win. They won slugfests; they won tight defensive matches. They held on to leads late; they came from behind. They had a few blowouts. One of the most impressive things about the season was that each game truly was a team effort. While there were certainly many key hits from the top of the order, the order was incredibly well-balanced, and there were also many key hits from the rest of the lineup. On any given day, any player could be the hero.

Defensively, the team was incredibly solid all over the field. The team made very few errors, and when an error was made, they didn’t compound and turn into big innings (with the exception of the Bradley game). The team stuck together and did not let frustration take over.

As a team, Strom set many records (at least in the history of WMSPL website).

Wins: 36
Winning Percentage: .947
Runs: 746
Runs +/-  +363

and of course...
A 29 Game Win streak from
May 24th, 2015 to August 24th 2015

This season was a record breaking season for many of the individual players. The following people broke their individual records in the following categories:

Greg: 2B - 6 HR -2, Runs – 42, RBI – 31, AVG. -.585, OBP - .578, SLG - .713, OPS -1.291
James: AVG. -.565, OBP - .562, SLG – 1.087, OPS – 1.649
Brad: 3B- 5, AVG. -.639, OBP. -.615
Bob: Runs – 75
Duran: Hits – 88, 3B – 6, Runs – 72, RBI – 65, AVG. -.667, OBP. -.641, SLG. -962, OPS – 1.603
Al: AVG - .705
Jeff: Hits – 81, Runs – 65, AVG. -.659, OBP - .649, SLG - .805, OPS 1.454

Brian only has one season, so everything he did is a record for this team. We have no idea how he hit on his previous team.

And of course Joey rewrote the record book with his season:
Joey: Hits – 117, HR – 31, Runs -97, AVG. - .873, OBP. - .863, SLG .1.713, OPS. 2.594

After a successful season, Storm hopes to carry this momentum into the playoffs.
