After a very
disappointing offensive output on Sunday (6 runs), Storm returned to form on
Monday night against Sports Illustrated scoring 23 runs for a 23-14 victory.
The game started
well, as Storm scored 6 runs in the first inning (as many as the previous
game). Five of those runs came with two outs. In the 2nd, Lance hit
a big three-run homerun, and by the end of the 3rd, Storm led 16-4
and never really looked back.
When you win, it’s
easier to laugh about things, so James’s at bat in which he took a mighty swing
and missed the ball by three feet for strike two, and then watched strike three
hit the board, is a funny little anecdote.
Dave swung a big
bat, or was at the very least opportunistic, as he drove in 6 runs. Three of
those came on sacrifice flies, including a 2 RBI sac fly on which Brad managed
to score from 2nd.
Notable Stats:
Dave – 1 HR, 6 RBI
Lance – 1 HR, 3
RBI
HR's: Lance (13), Dave (3)
