In the first inning it looked like it might actually
be Joey vs. Derek instead of Storm vs. Xtreme. Joey hit a 3-run homer in the
top of the first, and Derek hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the first. After
that though, Storm took control of the game as a team on both sides of the
ball.
Offensively, Storm got hits from ten different
players, runs from 8 different players, and RBIs from six different players.
The run production was spread out pretty evenly across the game, with Storm
scoring in every inning except the 2nd, and only scoring more than
two runs in an inning twice!
Defensively Storm played a very tight game, making
plays and keeping Xtreme off the scoreboard for five consecutive innings.
Xtreme didn’t even get a runner to 2nd from the 2nd-5th
innings.
Overall, it was a very good effort by Storm, playing
one of their most complete games of the season!
HR's: Joey (2), Lance
