Storm started well against Re/Max. After
holding Re/Max to a single run in the top of the first, the team jumped out
offensively and hit for a team cycle in the first inning. Al’s two-run blast
capped off the five-run inning.
Storm kept rolling in the second. After
Kenny led-off with a triple, Bob smacked a two-run home run and was astonished
that it actually counted. He is now -2 on the home runs vs. home run outs this
year and hopes to get in the black before the end of the season!
Storm’s offense sputtered in the 3rd
and 4th, and Storm was only able to get one run total in those two
innings. This allowed Re/Max to get right back in the game as they had a strong
top of the 5th. They scored four runs making the score 9-6.
In the bottom of the 4th,
however, Storm blew the game wide open. Storm batted through the order and a
bit. Lance hit half of the cycle in one inning (the only half he would get) and
Storm scored eight runs to take a 17-6 lead. They would add three more in the 6th
and go on to win 20-9.
