Storm neutralizes Isotopes

Mills started the game with a triple, which had him seeking a cycle for the rest of the game. Craig returned to the lineup with a sac fly to cash the first run of the game. Duran also tripled, which we all know means he was thinking cycle for the rest of the game. Rene would sac him home and Storm had two on the board. The Isotopes put a positive charge into their offence and scored three in the bottom of the first to take the lead.

Storm scored three in the 2nd, after starting with three consecutive hits. They held the Isotopes to a zero in the bottom of the 2nd and carried the lead into the 3rd. In the top of the 3rd, Duran must have been feeling frustrated that Sam had taKen the lead in an offensive category from him as he strucKout to lead off and rejoined Sam atop of the striKeout leaderboard. Storm managed to crank up some offence after that with doubles from Rene, Ken, and Jeff, and singles from Lance, Al and Greg and Storm scored four to increase their lead.

The bottom of the third saw a lot of close plays. A double clutched ball, a ball in and out of a glove, a tailing throw off the tip off the first baseman's glove. Had any of those plays gone differently, the inning would have ended much sooner, but as it was, the Isotopes neutralized the game as they put a positive six  on the board that inning.

Storm would not get negative. They scored three more runs capped off by Rene’s two run charge over the fence. They neutralized the isotopes offence causing them to score nothing in the bottom half of the inning.

Ken led off the 5th with a triple, which meant he was also thinking cycle. Storm scored two more to extend the lead and kept the Isotopes to two runs. Storm struggled to score one in the 6th, but the Isotopes scored none. Storm added three more to take a seven run lead into the bottom of the seventh. The Isotopes were fighting time as well as the deficit, but there was still some power in their bats and they managed to find some holes in the defence to score three. But they also hit a couple of balls to Al who decided he was going to take care of things himself.Storm won 18-14.
