Storm lost by one run to the Falcons on a night when they hit FIVE solo home runs that accounted for a total of three runs and two outs.
Duran and Joey went back to back with solo home runs in the second. Storm led 6-5. Unfortunately, in the top of the third the Falcons soared for six and took the lead. Storm answered with for, but still trailed by one. They tied it in the fourth and the game looked to be another classic Storm-Falcons match up.
In the fifth, down one, Duran tied it with a solo home run. Joey, however, followed suit just like in the 2nd, but instead of taking the lead it was just a long out. Storm would get a couple more and go up 15-13.
The Falcons were held to just one in the sixth and Storm carried a 15-14 lead to the top of the 7th. Two quick outs were recorded and it looked like Storm was going to hold on, but a hard hit ball squeaked through the infield giving The Falcons new life. Now, the other storyline of the game was Rene’s repeated hits up the middle. The first one hit Ash on the leg and the others caused some early Howells relief. But Ash was able to get his revenge as he came up with a two RBI single putting the Falcons ahead.
The Falcons took a 17-15 lead into the bottom half of the inning. Storm started using up courtesies as they tried to get back in the game, but they fell just short with the tying run on base as the third out was recorded.
